Klippy Host Software Can't Connect
I just set up my ratrig vcore 3 with rasberry pi 4 and BTT octopus V1.1 board. I have been trying to get it working, but after following the setup guide, I setup the firmware, flashed it, but after editing the printer.cfg step, I get the message "Printer is not ready, The Klipper host software is attempting to connect. Please retry". I have restarted the printer and firmware but it doesnt change. ANy advice? Im pretty new to klipper so its been challenging. Thanks!

1) Did the configurator say that it flashed successfully?
2) upload your printer.cfg
I went in the setup configurer and followed the steps but i cannot get past this page. I uploaded the firmware via sd card and i checked the card and it now says firmware.cur, which is what i want i think. Should my board be connected to my computer when im on the configuration page?
Also here is my printer configuration.
It also shows this on the mainsail window when i open it
Then you're not succesfully flashing it. If it gets renamed to firmware.cur and still doesn't get detected, it's usually an SD card issue.
Alternatively, i've just added manual DFU flashing support to the octopus 1.1. To try that instead, go into the mainsail machine tab, refresh the update manager by clicking the refresh button and update RatOS.
Go to https://ratos.local/configure?step=1 and select the octopus, you should now be able to pick "Manual DFU". Proceed as instructed on the screen.
Ok so i think i forgot the jumper when updating the board. But i was able to finish the configuration and the board was updated. Now a new problem. I opened mainsail as instructed, but it says this error. I checked my wiring and all seems correct. Any ideas?
As it says, your thermistor is reading an extreme temperature. So either you didn't plug it in to the correct spot or the connection/wiring is bad
I tested my bed thermistor and it looks like it may be bad because it doesnt short when i test with a multimeter. Does it make sense that that hotend fans come on though whenever the printer is on?
Yes, since it can't determine the temperature it will as a safety precaution turn all the fans to 100 percent
got it. Ill tey to get a new one. Thank you for your help! Youre a lifesaver
