Wine Manager, but no wine is available for download.
Whenever I open the wine manager tab to install wine, I can’t do it since there is no options in both Wine and Proton tabs and refreshing several times. I’ve had this issue before on another machine, but I don’t know how I fixed it. I’ve tried updating and reinstalling the app, and to no avail. I launch 2 instances of Heroic for the launcher to work properly (force of habit from my last PC), and I’m not sure if just 1 instance would work better than my last machine.

Can you provide a log after you pressed the refresh Button?

This is an optiplex running Xubuntu, and I might as well dual boot to windows since I wouldn't have to use Wine
Could you try opening https://api.github.com/repos/GloriousEggroll/wine-ge-custom/releases in your webbrowser? It should give you more information on why you're getting a 403 error there

i have a possible fix
I have heroic games launcher on my Thinkpad, and it can install wine. I can transfer it over to the Optiplex and this issue may be solved
Trying to execute this now
I need to get a USB drive wiped and reformatted so I could put wine on it
The wine manager shows back up, but every install so far has failed
Here's the logs:

You need curl.
Also check that tar is installed

I’d assume curl would be installed… so just run sudo apt install curl and I’d probably be good?
Well shoot. Thank you so much @Nocccer!

Just look at the logs. They actually provided this information.

I didn’t fully understand it. I’ll keep it in mind. Thanks again
