I notice that both your version of Heroic and of Wine are fairly old. Updating both might help.

That's still an old Wine version. Latest is
Wine-GE-Proton8-8. The version you're using is over a year behind. I don't know if it'll make a difference, but it's worth a try. It's not clear to me where the problem actually is. Well, the only abnormal thing in your logs (apart from the game of course not launching) is
0088:err:hid:udev_bus_init UDEV monitor creation failed, but I'm not sure if that actually means anything

It does not.
Warning, Unknown language extension RUS. Defaulting to INT
threw me off as well, but they're specifying --language en in the launch command & RL should respect that

D-Bus is heavily used by systemd, so there's a strong association, but D-Bus predates systemd.

Weird. Nothing amiss there, but, yeah, maybe Wine or something else is doing something weird and doesn't like your locale.
