I notice that both your version of Heroic and of Wine are fairly old. Updating both might help.
harsh-harlequinOP•2y ago
Wine version is newest
i will try

new log with updated version
adverse-sapphire•2y ago
That's still an old Wine version. Latest is
Wine-GE-Proton8-8
. The version you're using is over a year behind. I don't know if it'll make a difference, but it's worth a try. It's not clear to me where the problem actually is. Do you have all Wine dependencies installed as per https://discord.com/channels/812703221789097985/1044301598018515105 ?harsh-harlequinOP•2y ago
Oh ok
It doesnt show in wine manager
so im confused
Nevermind
trying it

new log
with latest wine and latest heric
I have all dependencies
How is it not working wtf
I assume
/steamgames/
is the mount point of another drive/partition? Which file system are you using on there?harsh-harlequinOP•2y ago
ext4
yes its a mount point of another drive
Hm, alright, that's also fine
Have you tried verifying your game data (game page -> 3-dot-menu -> "Verify & Repair")?
harsh-harlequinOP•2y ago
Yes
Just did it again
Well, the only abnormal thing in your logs (apart from the game of course not launching) is
0088:err:hid:udev_bus_init UDEV monitor creation failed
, but I'm not sure if that actually means anything
@OOOOOF123 Any idea here?solid-orange•2y ago
That's probably fine, it's only used for controllers
I think
I think the Language is configured wrong or something
And maybe some missing wine dependencies potentially?
I'll trust that you installed them based on what you said
Sidenote: Wine doesn't rely on anything SystemD-y, right?
solid-orange•2y ago
dbus ?
And that's only for mountmgr
Which is for auto mounting removable devices
Dbus doesn't rely on systemd actually
Does it?
adverse-sapphire•2y ago
It does not.
Warning, Unknown language extension RUS. Defaulting to INT
threw me off as well, but they're specifying --language en
in the launch command & RL should respect that
So not sure why that's happening, but falling back to something would mean it isn't inherently the problem, right?solid-orange•2y ago
Might be their locale
Maybe wine reads it
adverse-sapphire•2y ago
D-Bus is heavily used by systemd, so there's a strong association, but D-Bus predates systemd.
harsh-harlequinOP•2y ago
Anything i can do?
solid-orange•2y ago
What locale are you using on your system
harsh-harlequinOP•2y ago
RU
someone help?
adverse-sapphire•2y ago
What is the output of
locale
?solid-orange•2y ago
Maybe try using the English locale
harsh-harlequinOP•2y ago

harsh-harlequinOP•2y ago
Ah ok
It was working fine until some update
adverse-sapphire•2y ago
Weird. Nothing amiss there, but, yeah, maybe Wine or something else is doing something weird and doesn't like your locale.
