No video playing
Hello, I'm using Heroic on my Steam Deck installed as a faltpak on the Discover app(flathub), and there is an issue that I can't deal with it and I can't find any help about it. When using a game through Heroic, when a video is supposed to be played (ad in "Journey to the savage planet", or title screen of "Genesis Alpha One" for example), there is just nothing, it can be a white screen or just nothing. Changing the wine/proton version doesn't help at all. It's an issue on every games installed through Heroic. The only information I found about it on the Internet was on github. Apparently, this is due to missing libraries in the flatpak version of Heroic. Is there anything I can do to solve this ? Thank you in advance.

Sorry, I don't have access to my Deck for the moment, but the issue is easy to reproduce. Just launch a game which have video in it. I've just installed Heroic from Discover(flathub) without any other tweak or manipulation.

Well, the video in Toejam and Earl now shows up but it has stranges artifacts.
I tried on Genesis Alpha one, and the videos are working now
But it only work with the latest wine ge. Is it possible to make it work with the proton ge that I already have installed ?

GE-Proton or Proton are not intended to be run outside of Steam. anything that you'd try to do will end up just make it Wine-GE anyway

He just installed heroic, connect his account and launch a game with ge proton. That's all.
You don't know any way if I can use ge proton on heroic and still get the videos ?

I'm going to repeat what I said earlier: GE-Proton or Proton are not intended to be run outside of Steam. This means use is unsupported in the sense that you're on your own if you intend on using them
