Game Log:
Game will run fine if using the system wine in the game folder or even by dragging the game exe into the game settings. But not if I click play. I'm using heroic-games-launcher-git from AUR, and it's the GOG version of the game. (Didn't tag as non heroic as I'm not sure).

Are no game logs or did you just removed them?

"name": "Wine Default - wine-8.10 (Staging)",
have you tried Wine-GE? or maybe installed the wine dependencies?

This leads me to believe something else in the launch process is crashing. Could you send in Heroic's general log?

Wine dependecies should be installed with system wine

no game logs. I have tried Wine-GE8-8 as well. I'll delete the wine prefix and run again to get you the heroic log.

Hang on a minute
gogdl launch /mnt/sata0/Heroic 1456141287
That doesn't look right I faintly remember this (Heroic truncating the last folder of a game's install path) being an issue, but wasn't this fixed? @Linguin Any ideas here?

ah yes my favorite bug you need to correct the game path in the ~/.config/heroic/gog_store/installed.json

in fact I uninstalled another GOG game and it deleted my whole heroic folder :pogr:

it's fixed on the pushToLibrary PR yeah, sorry about that. I lost 200GB of downloaded games and their saves myself

change install_path to actual directory where it is
rival-black
rival-blackOP•2y ago
it does indeed work
xenial-black
xenial-black•2y ago
for now just double check that the path is correct after installation fix will come in next release probably

is this happening in the latest release? I thought it was just in the main branch, if it's happening in the stable branch we need to release a fix for that asap 😬 just wondering, can you extract that fix from that PR into a simpler PR? would be nice to be sure that fix is merged just in case that PR takes longer to merge, not sure how coupled is push library feature with that fix

xenial-black•2y ago
I'll be able to do that tomorrow
