Priming & Printing with .6 nozzle
Just switched to the Rapido .6 nozzle (changed extruder setting in config) and priming and printing is borked. Priming blob seems much smaller and doesnt stick to the bed, nozzle scrapes when starting print and print does not stick even slightly to the bed, most of the time it blobs around the nozzle. Had my .4 singing before this, please help

nozzle scrapes when starting printDid you recalibrate your offset?
yes, of course, wondering if the math for adaptive mesh works for .6 nozz\
works fine. Machine size should not be the issue. I run a Rapido UHF, .6 nozzle, VC500. Prime blob works as expected.
mesh is not related to nozzle size 🙂
how about printing and priming?
or anythign Z
Priming works fine with 0.6
yes like the others said you need to redo your z-offset when you change nozzles.
PROBE_CALIBRATE
ive done this a few times...
for rapido UHF .6 nozzle, do you screw the thing in then back-screw the nut?
...the larger hex
yes
Make sure you tightened that nozzle properly with a 2Nm torque wrench
tight to the ceramicx
indeed
You want the nut touching the ceramic so that it transfers heat as much as possible
If your home your printer and do G0 Z0 with a paper underneath, is the nozzle lightly touching the paper?
Make sure to preheat nozzle and bed first
yep, noz at 150, bed at print temp (pla 60)
testing again
Anyone know the diameter of the Rapido UHF nozzle that comes with the RatRig VCore 3.1 default kit, is it the .6? I am struggling to get the UHF nozzle to print anything. I thought it was .6 but I am at a loss to figure out what is wrong with my printer since the original post
anyone? having rebuilt my hotend once again, I am still printing pure garbage! starting to hate this thing, (dreaming of the 3 bamboo labs printers I could have had)
mine came default 0.4mm nozzle mounted
so the UHF nozzle in the rapido box that comes with the default kit is .4?
there are 2 nozzles, a smaller one that is attached and another one in the box
so this is incorrect, thanks. rapido UHF comes with a .6 UHF nozzle in the box, thanks. Selling this garbage!
