How does one manually resume a download (it keeps starting over from 0%)
I am downloading Dear Hunter Call Of The Wild, and twice now it has gotten to 80-90% done and just jumped to "finished" without actually being finished. No problem just resume right? wrong. Resuming starts from the beginning again. This wouldn't normally be a problem to most, but in this remote area we pay per MB of data and this "download" has now cost us over $80 in fees. There is no way I'm going to buy more data just to download the same files yet again. Does anyone know of a way to force resume from a certain point?

Just tried it again, and it started from 0% YET AGAIN. WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY. UNINSTALLING THIS POS LAUNCHER. Thanks for the help y'all.
Telling Heroic to install a game will install it from scratch. If files were written to disk, you could've imported the game (the option to do so is right next to the "Install" button)
Resuming a download doesn't start from the beginning, but since you said the download finished, I'm assuming you weren't resuming at all

All the downloaded files are there, visible in a folder. Yet installing / resuming just keeps overwriting the same files over and over again. Yes, I did already try the import function a few hundred times, but it just said import failed. NO FURTHER FEEDBACK IS GIVEN. I did not say the download finished, I said it just jumped to finished - when not actually finished. NO FEEDBACK GIVEN. Hence, its been uninstalled. I'll just use epic. Thanks for actually writing back!

If you actually want help we will need logs, and people make this launcher and help with support in their free time, so don't get so angry, it just makes you look like a jerk.

Thanks for the feedback. I do free things for people too, but it's never ended up costing them money, and if it did, I would do something about it to make it right. What I would not do is ignore them, give irrelevant advice, or call them a jerk after the irrelevant advice doesn't work.
I'm just gonna skip over the drama here since I don't think focusing on it will lead to anything productive
I did already try the import function a few hundred times, but it just said import failedThis is the error here. To find out what exactly is going wrong here, we do need Heroic's log files. How you find those is explained in the #:pushpin: Read Me First | Frequently Asked Questions post To address
NO FURTHER FEEDBACK IS GIVENYes, that's "normal". There are an uncountable number of things that can go wrong with anything Heroic does, individually checking for each of these failure states & telling you exactly what to do would increase code size dramatically while helping basically no-one (not to mention that we of course never know all things that can break). The intended workflow here is that you, the user, notice something isn't working, hop over here to our Discord, create a support ticket with Heroic's logs, and we then tell you what's wrong and what to do to fix it

Heroic is free no money to pay. Wonder where you get this from that heroic cost something?

Understand that. But that is not a problem of heroic. He sounded like he paid 20 € to install the launcher.
Well, it could be argued that Heroic should've stopped them from installing the game over itself
Although personally I prefer a tool that does what I tell it to do, without it trying to "know better" than me. But it seems I'm in the minority here
