Think I should turn these into shorts?
Kind of just an up to me question but do you think I should turn these into shorts? They're 80s Belgian army cargos, I love the super high rise (15") and the bagginess but theyre a little short and taper a bit too much for me. I'd probably cut them along the line of the paneling right at the bottom of the pockets. I'd definitely stitch it rather than leaving it raw. What do you think?

Chopped and pinned, just gotta go get some matching thread that'll work in my machine.
Followed the lines of the panelling and letting the cargo pockets hang a little lower than the hem
