Is international shipping from nps-solovair.com as smooth as the site says? Any experience?

https://us.nps-solovair.com/pages/delivery-returns Basically, buying from them and shipping to Canada is cheaper (incl. shipping and exchange rate) than simply buying from a Canadian retailer. I basically loaded up an item and got to just before paying and it seems to check out. Anybody purchased from them before? They use DHL Express and claim only signature will be required on delivery, no customs or duty fees.

I have ordered from Solovair twice and it is a great experience so long as you are ordering footwear and not just accessories. I had to exchange sizes the first time because I went too small in the Dealer boots, but I believe they received the boots, refunded me, and sent out the new pair all within the same week somehow. The delivery was also fast. I should mention that too. I received my boots within two or three days at no additional cost and I live in the US.

Yes but be prepared to return them, sizing is tough and QC is dog shit

I can't argue with this. The soles of my boots looked like they still had loose flaps of rubber in between the treads which eventually came off with use and now they look better, but I'm happy with mine overall. The sizing is tough at first, but just get to know the lasts that your boots are made on. In Greasy Dealers I ordered half a size down and it was uncomfortably tight. I exchanged for my normal US 10 and it was much better. In my Solovair Greasy loafers I went a full size down because a US 10 was the equivalent of a US 11. Both were made using different forms.

Thanks. Sizing is my concern, given the only local store carrying them ran out in my sizes. If they at least have favourable policies I might take the chance. Did you go TTS or size down? Their site suggests sizing down and I'm basically right in between 8.5-9 usually so I don't know if 8 or 8.5 will do for me.

Uuuuuuhhhhhh I don’t actually know off the top of my head I sized for arch support inserts but then I strengthened my feet and they grew a half size and fit without them but I need to wear thick socks. I have a pair of the hiking style boots and they’re on a pretty generous last I’m at work but I can let you know when I get home

So basically they do indeed run large.

Oh yeah definitely, I’d say a full size down is likely what you’re lookin at

Thanks for the advice. I ended going TTS after returning some 8.5 that were too snug. Will try and post in waywt tmrw
