creaming my pants

I've got a pair of white dickies painter pants that I'd like to dye to be a bit more cream/off-white colored. Before I go out and get the recommended RIT formula to achieve this, curious to see if anyone else has any other suggestions

If you’re going for a specific uniform color natural dye is a little risky Would be fun but I wouldn’t expect creaming your pants just the way you like

i had a similar thought. though i wondered if tea dying would yield a slightly tamer color.
