Witcher 3 stuck at 0% Download
As stated, I cannot get The Witcher 3 to install from GOG. I have tried letting it sit for up to a couple of hours without any success. There are no game files in the folder path (
~/Games/Temp) I have set for the game to install to at any time while letting it sit.

I did take a quick look at that one earlier and it does sound similar

I'm able to download other GOG games, such as OpenTTD without this issue occuring, if that helps.
I'll try relogging, however I don't have the ability to try another connection as it's a desktop and doesn't have wifi so I can't try hotspotting off my phone unfortunately. I will also attempt a VPN once I set one up.
relogging seems to have generated the same error still. Moving on to VPN.
Welp. VPN has not helped either. Still getting the same errors in the logs

just download any game's windows version
Linux downloads don't support that API, so they don't work

hmm. If I was able to install the game to a windows machine (assuming the download works), could I copy the game files to the linux machine and import it into the launcher successfully?
or does it have to be installed via the heroic launcher for the appropriate wine / proton layers to be set up?

Alright, have an update. Found the problem.
Heroic displays the game as if I own it. Turns out, I own DLC for it, but I don't own the base game. So It can't download anything.
so turns out it's my fault, for not owning it. I just didn't know I didn't own it, because Heroic doesn't tell me that.

It doesn't show me the game at all in Galaxy, but when I looked online it was there, when I checked the downloads is when I discovered I only own DLC and not the base game.

nevertheless it should be fixed in next relase, since I changed the way we sync the library to be the same as Galaxy
