I'm planning to grab some of their tubular t-shirts once the UK seller I found has them back in stock. Have see them pretty well rated and they are a better price for me compared to other options

I’m a fan, price is great and I’ve been happy with every piece I’ve got from them. Shipping takes a little while but that’s really the only downside. Read the size chart and expect to go 1-2 sizes up than normal.
at this point nearly all of my tees have the tags at the back of the neck cut off haha
I've been eyeballing the 17.5oz zip up hoodies and the tubular tees for a while, but I haven't decided to pull the trigger and order anything yet.
Has anyone looked in to getting Bronson pieces shipped directly from CN instead of via the webshop? I've only done some basic browsing but it looks like several pieces would cheaper even including shipping and there's a little more availability.
Have one of the tubular tees. It’s beefy and thick. Not sure if it’s loopwheeler but it feels great for £25. It shrunk a little after first wash.
where in the UK did you buy from?
Olderbest, pricing is in £ but ships from China
ah nice, that's where I found them. Waiting for them to restock sizes
Their customer service was a little odd - after ordering they messaged asking me for measurements and suggested sizing up. I’m normally an S and went for M based on measurements against a Uniqlo U tee, and they suggested going for L. Would have been far too big
I'll be wary of that then, cheers
Given the Bronson webshop is based in the UK anyway why not just order from there and skip the middleman?
I didn't even realise they were, I had assumed they were US as the site defaults to USD and mentions free shipping if spending over $99
but yeh that makes much more sense, thanks
strangely enough looking at the contact address, bronson and olderbest are the same company
Wouldn't surprise me if they are/have the same agent in the UK I guess.
I think when I ordered older best were cheaper, and think it’s a uk based front for the same operation out of China. Either way, it’s good value
just ordered some of their overpants
hope their fire
they're
Man their cargo pants sold out before I could snag a pair. Anyone know how often they restock?
It's a little erratic, in my experience, but I have put myself on the e-mail list for a restock in the past (the M-1951 fatigue jacket), and I got an e-mail... maybe a month or two later that it was back in stock? I'm on their restock notification list for that 1930s-style hoodie and a couple of other things, as well.
I just bought a couple of the tubular gusset t-shirts, incidentally, and really love them. They almost feel like something in between full-on sweatshirt material and the loopwheel tubular shirts they have.
Just checked their width for some of their pants and if I see it right they have a w38 chino with width 36
Just got their M-51 parka, and for the money it's a seriously nice jacket. Wish the arms were more oversized like the original, but it's a great fabric and well constructed.
Anyone ever try buying their stuff off eBay? I’m lookin to pick up this vest: https://bronsonshop.com/collections/vests/products/military-style-quilted-padded-ripstop-nylon-vest-olive?
Sold out on the site but it’s available on eBay
Bronson
Military Style Quilted Padded Ripstop Nylon Vest - Olive
The vest is made from lightweight ripstop nylon shell, that's quilted and lightly padded.
Does anyone know how much the thigh measurement compares to inseam?
You can also get their clothes via Aliexpress!
Would you happen to know if there’s a specific seller to use?
I'll have to have a look at my order history but usually it's 1 or 2 stores that sell the same item; sometimes they also carry a different label (e.g. Non-Stock).

Awesome thank you!
do you need to pay any taxes or have they got that covered?
They covered it, but I think the tee was below the import tax rate anyway
Oh that's good to hear, I wanted to order a few things but didn't want to get hit my custom duties to UK
looks like they’re having a sale rn
can anyone comment on the sizing of ‘ 9 oz US Cotton Tubular T-Shirt ‘ or their tees in general? i’m an XL in whitseville t shirts, expecting about the same for one of these but curious if anyone has experience
Their size charts are generally accurate. I have one of the loopwheel tubular tees and went up a size which worked well for me but would refer to their measurements since sizing can differ by item
thanks! any guidance on differentiation between those labeled loopwheel tubular vs just tubular? i know they’re different construction methods but curious what the quality diff is, if any
I only have the loopwheeled version so can’t speak to the others but it’s quite nice, the fabric is on the heavier side of midweight and the neck hole is taut with seams that are all pretty solid. I got the vintage black color and like the shade of it as well
cool thanks @StotheG7 i grabbed some tees and chinos
I see Bronson and Olderbest restocked these navy deck pants.

Anyone have any experience with them? They look nice. I'm looking for casual, high-rise, lightweight white pants for the summer.
Bronson
USN Herringbone Deck Pants
Reproduced the 1940s Deck Work Pants. Made of 10.5 oz cotton herringbone twill(HBT) that is greige fabric, so there are cottonseed particles on the surface. High rise and a straight leg. Soft and comfortable. Garment-wash, and not shrink.
They do look really nice! Is 10.5 oz lightweight?
great q, I have no idea
Thats pretty average weight, think jeans or chinos. Should be fine though
Yeah for context a lot of raw denim brands will sell a light weight or summer weight which is 11oz. I’d say for these pants 10.5oz is pretty regular but should be fine in summer, hbt used to be the fabric the army used before ww2 for general purpose wear.
Why are so many items on Bronson’s website always sold out? Sometimes it feels like half their stuff is sold out
Seriously, there are so many items I'd love to give them money for.
Same; I have a couple items saved that I would love to buy but are currently sold out
You can also get a few of their items on Aliexpress, but most aren’t available there
Thanks, that's good to know
I think they do pretty small manufacturing runs, which contributes to a lot of items being sold out. You can sign up for email notifications when a specific item is back in stock, and I've had good luck with that.
I just got some cords from them
they are v nice
would recommend
Has anyone gotten these linen shirts from Olderbest? The collar (I think it's one piece?) looks really nice. https://www.olderbest.com/en-us/products/1950s-italian-collar-linen-shirt-dark-green?option1=Apricot&option2=S
Olderbest
1950s Italian Collar Linen Shirt - Dark Green
This shirt is influenced by the 1950s Italian collar shirt, a regular fit with a classic one piece collar. Time Catcher used linen fabric for its comfort and natural style, added dark shell buttons for for a harmonious touch, and reinforced the collar for more stability. The linen has a crisp feel that is also cozy.
Looks like they make a long sleeve version too https://www.olderbest.com/collections/new-arrivals/products/1950s-italian-collar-long-sleeve-linen-shirt-dark-green

I haven't but I was giving it serious consideration, they look really nice.
Whoever is thinking of buying from Bronson in the next week, try and search for the item on Aliexpress, as they are having their big summer sale
I just got mine, havent worn it yet but so far it feels nice out of the bag. Definitely not like other tissue paper thin shirts I have got from Chinese vendors. Will update once I wear it
Didnt mean to look so sad here but here it is on me, 5’10”/1.78m and 178lbs/81kg

Only thing I have to complain about is some loose threads in the button holes
Wow that collar looks great. Thanks for sharing!
Of course! Glad I could help
I picked up some t-shirts from Bronson, and they're great quality for the price, but I'm definitely glad I paid attention to their sizing and went with with XXXL.
This is a fairly broad question, but does anyone know much about the Bronson/Olderbest family of brands? I have some great pieces from Bronson and Time Catcher but know nothing about the factories, ownership, designers (it can’t all be Toyo repros) or where it’s all coming from in the first place.
I prefer not to know tbh
It was started by some vintage enthusiasts already in the clothing business in Hong Kong, in 2012. Factories are in mainland China ofc. The design and management staff are probably in HK, as far as I know they aren't putting themselves out publicly, but they've worked with a few military/workwear enthusiasts on collaboration product lines - like Charles McFarlane on replica jungle sweaters https://combatthreads.substack.com/p/vol-05-no-05
Vol. 05 No. 05
Reproducing a WWII "Jungle Shirt
Damn impressive to come through with the knowledge
do most of Bronson’s clothes go to the US / Europe or do they also make for the domestic Chinese / Hong Kong market?
I don't really know, except that definitely people in Hong Kong and Japan buy from them
And of course they're Chinese sizing
I’ve been pretty fascinated by Bronson so was always wondering what their ~average customer is / and where most of their customers are
I guess the same applies to the other ‘brands’ like non-stock, sauze zhan, red tornado
okonkwo is another brand I came across on Aliexpress that seems to sell very similar items
Non Stock is Bronson
But yeah AliExpress boosts a lot of niche brands and a few are cool lol
Bzen is another brands that reminds me of Bronson but I don’t think any of their clothes are sold on Aliexpress
but I think it’s also chinese?
I know sauce zhan have retail shops in China
Id imagine the domestic market is the primary one for most of these brands, easy to forget how massive China is
The red tornado barbour dupes have caught my eye
Kind of tempted
Pretty sure I saw similar about Red Tornado being primarily domestic market
the red tornado spey (barbour) dupe is a killer!!
two times a year it goes on sale and you can get it as low as $100
that’s such a steal considering how much the barbour spey jacket costs!
Not sure if I want that or the beaufort dupe
They both look nice
it’s a lot easier to pick up used beauforts / or similar looking jackets from other makers than spey jackets
I recently got some t-shirts from Bronson/Non Stock that I like a lot. I'm interested in some of their pants as well, but their inseams are too short for me
I don't think they've ever done longer inseams than about 34 (or waists above 36 actual size, maybe 38) 😂
so you'll likely have to look elsewhere (might be able to suggest brands for some things)
Yeah, the problem is that I'm a 30"-31" waist but pretty much all of their pants are 29" inseam at that size, when I need 33"-35". I know that there are plenty of Japanese repro brands doing this kind of thing, but they're out of my price range and quite a few of them also don't do the length I need
I'd be interested if you know of any brand that has something similar to these: https://bronsonshop.com/collections/pants-trousers/products/lot-929-heavyweight-pique-salt-pepper-stripe-pants?variant=44121106907352
Bronson
Lot 929 Heavyweight Pique Salt & Pepper Stripe Pants
Based on the blockbuster sanforized stripe pique work pants of the 1930s - 1940s. These pants are made of 15 oz. heavyweight yarn-dyed striped fabric with a velvet underside similar to the surface of moleskin fabric, which is a very warm, high rise, and straight cut, with built-in suspender buttons, narrow belt loop design of the old era, waist ...
I have a pair from Vetra that are similar but it looks like they're discontinued
For the military replicas there's quite a bunch of options, but yeah heavyweight work pants as a category are gonna be very hard at a good price unfortunately
At least other companies that do make things like this may sell unhemmed?
Red Tornado come in at a slightly lower price point and have a bunch of options. Can't speak as to the quality of the trousers, but the shirt I have from them is excellent, and I'm told their denim is good.
https://www.aliexpress.com/store/1102646295/pages/all-items.html?productGroupId=40000003485228&shop_sortType=bestmatch_sort
I've looked at Red Tornado before and I have the same issue with the length, unfortunately
Most are not even 34 right?
Do you know some good mil rep companies which produce larger sizes/inseams
Their 36 measures more like 35 that's what I have
I mean inseams
Ohhh yeah sorry I'm sleepy
Yeah that's what I said
Depending on which yeah the largest size won't get that far. Sometimes by redoing the cuff you may be able to add 1-2 inches
Most of the American etc ones do - I know a WWII reenactor who is well over 6 feet with long legs - but what I just realized checking the sites is they usually do not list the inseam, and some items have the same inseam for every waist often 34
What Price Glory, Mil Tec, At the Front
Thanks
Yeah got that confirmed some WPG and WWII Impressions is about 36 inseam on 38 waist
But, some pants are 34 inseam regardless of waist, or 32 or shorter, cause the originals were sized to go with taller boots...
you can generally get UK actual milsurp with a 34" inseam, and Id assume anything from the Netherlands is like that standard 😅
Yeah the real deal is very much an option, depending considerably on what you're looking for
Even if WWII era stuff in a size exists may be near impossible to find
If present day dress pants work or it's those Royal Navy cargos everyone's got it's EZ
Etc
Adding to the pool of Bronson tubular t shirt data points. Ordered the black colour. Nice and hefty. I typically order small in most sizes (Levi's, Nudie, GAP) since they're usually sized for 36 inch chest sizes. For the Bronson t shirt, I ordered medium after looking at the garment measurements and asking the Bronson customer service. I'm pretty satisfied with the fit. Chest isn't overly boxy or slim, I'd say right in the middle. The shoulders fit me like a glove with the armholes feeling quite fitted as well. Medium was definitely the positive choice, or at the very least, ordering small would've been too tight in the shoulders and armholes. Very easy to wear tucked, the extra weight adds a bit of volume to the tuck. Wearing the t shirt untucked, the vibe of the length veers more towards the mid 2010 streetwear length rather than vintage Americana. Pretty happy with the length either way. Anyways, pretty satisfied with the t shirt. Would order again.
I have this color in large and can confirm pretty much all of this. One size up is the way to go.
Where do those of you located in the EU source their Bronson stuff?
Im in need of a few white/off white tees and thought i might check em out
Ive just ordered from AliExpress
Aren't the t shirts cheaper if you order directly from AliExpress/TaoBao?
Does anyone have a link for that?
How much more did you have to pay compared to the listed price on aliexpress
For me, AliExpress prices aren't much different from the official Bronson website. But with AliExpress, there's usually monthly site wide coupons of a few dollars off as well as no minimum required for free shipping. Also shipping times are similar since they're both shipping out of China.
Yeah due to coupons it was cheaper for me
Ah, I was thinking that I might get slapped with a 20% VAT charge by customs or something
Oh yeah you might be, but normally AliExpress charge that themselves
Does anyone have the US Army 5th Model Tropical Jungle Fatigue Pants? What do you think of the fit and quality?
Hey does anyone know the size differences between the Bronson tees on their website and from AliExpress? The AliExpress ones show different measurements on chest and say "china medium"
I only ever ordered through aliexpress and found those measurements to be accurate
Hmm so either the ali measurements are correct or the Bronson website sells different sized shirts
Ali:
Bronson website:
Same shoulder but smaller chest and arms
Could be that the AliExpress seller is using an old size chart. I would probably trust the one on the Bronson site to be accurate
It was for what I bought
You bought from Ali? Do you have a link? It's worrying they say "China M"
No, I bought from the Bronson site
I got the off-white bronson tee, which is really nice, but there is something strange about it, because if it gets slightly damp it smelly like wet dog. Even after multiple washes and very thourough airing out
Any idea what that is?
I got the Bronson off AliExpress
Feels more like the Chinese measurements than American
Let this be a warning
Fit is boxy and short
They do state the measurements on their stuff, no?
I mentioned above with screenshots that the Ali measurements are different from USA
What size did you get?
Medium
If you get it off AliExpress get it one size up
I was a medium and got the tubular t shirts off AliExpress as a large
The label said large?
My label said medium and had the same packaging
Sorry to be so specific but no one online has had a great answer. You are saying ali large = us medium?
The china m/Bronson M are basically the same measurements (with room for error due to manual measurements). It's only on the larger sizes the grading seems to shift?
Have you measured your shirt?
It's not unusual for clothing sold in East Asia to be labelled one size larger than it would be in Europe or North America. I have several items where the sewn in label says Japan M/EU S. Other brands do cut somewhat differently for different markets too - Uniqlo tees sold in Japan are/were sized shorter, slimmer and with shorter sleeves.
Uniqlo for sure. I'm one size up in Japan Uniqlo
But even more the cut is different. Shorter always
Boxier
Haven't measured yet but I will. Weird thing is the packaging says Chest 38-40 for medium and there's no way. It's like the packaging is the same for US and China but the shirt is different
What’s the sizing like in their fatigues? I’m a 32-34 in Levis and was wondering whether an L would be the right size in Bronson.
Simple answer: Check a well fitting pair of pants for measurements and compare with those on their site.
(Its always the same Answer)
