Thrift Jacket Feedback
This seemed to hit a couple high notes with the thread count. However, any tips to determine the actual quality of this jacket? The brand seems to be a low quality one made in China, I just need to know better ways to evaluate it if I'm going to start looking for local deals.

Thread count is less important than construction, as well as cut and fit. The cost of fabric used to make a good suit will always be much cheaper than the labour cost to make it.
How does it fit on you?
Also don't think I'd wear this as a separate, or at all (not a fan of the thin lapels, or the colour + pattern)
Doesn't fit, just trying to learn. 44r. Only thing possibly nice there.
I just need to know better ways to evaluate it if I'm going to start looking for local deals. My basic metrics are: 1) fit, 2) where you would wear it, 3) construction quality, which tends to inform fit on a subtle level (rather than the gross level of, does it sit properly on you.) In this case, I don't like the style, so I wouldn't wear it (point 2), and cheaply constructed in china usually tells me to assume it's not going to have good drape etc, unless proven otherwise.
Ok thanks. I think I struggle identifying the construction quality. I think I need to examine higher quality pieces and get better reference points.
It can be hard to tell by eye without a lot of experience but you can always research the brand / maker.
