Why does Immich not preserve file names?
How does immich decide on how to name a file. If I upload a video name "summertrip" and I try to search for it in the searchbar by adding , it can't find the file...

Immich does preserve filenames, so that should work
Ok, so I uploaded this file and searched for and nothing shows up. The image was already stored as . Turns out it was already included In my inition import from photoprism, which does not preserve filenames.
If a file des not have exif data, how will the date be generated?
Based on the file creation or modification time (I'm not sure which exactly)
Is the searching limited? If I search for m:2018 only 10 files show up. And I can guarantee there are more than 10 files starting with 2018.
Is it possible to search for a file using its checksome from the console output?
