why does immich not upload a few pics?
So I've been using Immich and it's fantastic but I stumbled into an issue where while choosing the albums it shows that I have 5097 pics but on the backup screen it only shows 5095 pics and those remaining 2 pics are not getting uploaded

Can you try run the thumbnail genertion job for missing one?
There are probably duplicates. The number of total/backup assets does not count duplicates. The album selection counts all files
I checked there arent any duplicates
How would I proceed to do that?
admin panel > job > thumbnail generation
I don't think that helped
There might still be duplicates. Photos are hashed and compared for identity. Thus, filenames don't matter.
I restarted the server and now it started working!!

Also another thing I noticed is that sometimes the remainder while uploading becomes negative
yeah this is a bug we haven't had a chance to fix yet
So when it hits 0, that means all the images have been uploaded. Right?
Or should I just let it go as negative as it wants to be?
It should be 0, negative number related to some issue with ether some files on the phone was deleting by the user and duplicate counting. We don't know for sure yet 😛
