Are these blazers too small or too big?
The light grey is a size medium and the dark grey is a size medium plus. I posted in some other subreddits but got mixed answers to whether they were too big or too small.
I am standing straight and my arms are relaxed and down in these vids.

The reason you’re getting both answers is because both are true
The shoulders are a little big on both and the chest/waist is a little small on both
May have to try a different cut or a different brand
Do you think taking some roids to get some huge delts would fix this?
No ♡
😂
Nah it too short
Either doesn’t cover ur rear properly
It is not a good fit imo
we really need a derek guy emote
In addition to the issues bishop pointed out they are also too short
I stand corrected
who’s Derek guy?
where do y’all recommend getting a blazer? I saw some used ones on eBay that seem to have pretty good measurements but I don’t like a lot of the styles.
Ebay, look for brands that can be had for cheap but quality, if you like trim prob italian… and make sure the back length cover your rear
i think a patch pockets blazer is better than flap pocket like the one u posted
Also get the 3 roll 2 buttons
Plus get one with a number, not small medium…. Etc
make sure the jacket has soft shoulder instead with padding
Spier and Makay
Now I’m thinking of getting full suits but they are so expensive, a lot of people recommend suitsupply and all those are like $500-$1000ish. I wouldn’t mind paying $200-$300ish each
How tall are you?
$200-$300 just isn't going to get you very far tbh. Spier has 20% sales basically always on various items
$200-300 is firmly in "secondhand suit" territory. I have seen absurdly fantastic suits for $200-300, though. Most suits sell for a lot less second-hand. The trouble with second-hand suits is having a lot more measurements to line up than just a jacket (and odd trousers are even easier with even fewer measurements.)
Buying online is difficult if you don't know your measurements well. And what that really means is measurements of a well fitting suit. Usually, the basic measurements are:
- Shoulder seam to seam straight across
- Shoulder seam to cuff
- Pit to pit, with cardinal button buttoned, laid flat
- Narrowest part of waist, with cardinal button buttoned, laid flat
- Bottom of collar to hem along back and/or collar-shoulder intersection to hem along front (usually the same measurement, or +- a half inch)
- Ideally but usually not measured except by brits, the pit to cuff length
- Ideally but usually not measured, the width of the sleeve at the opening
- Trouser waist, straight across
- Widest part of trouser over the seat, straight across
- Front rise
- Rear rise, though often not included
- Inseam
- Width across the leg opening
- Ideally but usually not measured nor super required, the outseam
- Ideally but usually not measured, width across both the thigh and knee
I cannot think of any suit you can buy in person for $200-300 I would recommend at full price. Maybe if you live in Toronto, S&M's newest "red line" of suits, though I can't vouch for them, they're probably adequate. Occasionally you will find something decent on a big sale, but the only actionable advice there is, if you're patient, go to all the department stores, learn the brands, and then check for sales regularly to catch one in your size. But with all these tricks, you're trading money for time, ie, it's cheaper but you need to invest serious time to track it down. In a real way, this is also true with online: you have to at minimum invest time into measurements and research, and often invest even more time trying to catch sales or individual items going on ebay/grailed/etc.

The waist could be taken in on these, but there’s no doubt these jackets are short.
Menswear twitter account, has a lot of good advice about suits. https://twitter.com/dieworkwear
This is good advice too. I saw an absolutely wonderful Ralph Lauren suit for sale for 250 gbp just yesterday.
The waist should not be taken in
