same here
I already downloaded the latest update through Epic GamesThere's the issue. If you're using both the EGL and Heroic at the same time, don't import your games and instead use EGL Sync To help you further with this, I'd need Heroic's log files (see #:pushpin: Read Me First | Frequently Asked Questions on how to find those)

Hm, that's very odd
Could you try uninstalling the game in the EGL, then importing it via Heroic? That should then also import it into the EGL (might need a restart for it to show up)

i tried multiple times and it says i have a much older version (24.something and latest is 25.something) and tries to update it
i have limited data so cant redownload
it seems it fixed itself after removing the temp log of the game (it used it when i attempted to repair its files) and running legendary list-installed
then importing
i didnt try to verify it from heroic tho bt ig itll say it needs an update

i wasnt using them at the same time, Heroic was closed when i updated through the Epic games launcher,
You don't want to manage Heroic-imported games through the EGL at all.
Heroic keeps its own metadata on what version a game is on, if you update the game though the EGL that metadata will no longer align with reality. Using EGL-Sync, Heroic knows that games might be altered by the EGL and handles it properly, but when just importing games, Heroic doesn't know that the EGL might meddle with it
TLDR: Use EGL-Sync if you want to use both Heroic and the EGL to manage games

the problems come from the other way around, Updating the game through HGL will make EGL update it again cause it thinks that parts of the update files were broken
every time i update through EGL, Heroic works perfectly fine
but EGL complains when Heroic does the update
I just tested this with today's update
i updated the game through HGL and when i went to EGL it forced me to download 3.62GB
also Heroic is trying to also download Unreal Editor for Fortnite when updating the game, even tho i dont want it.

Well, the other way around has the same system (EGL has a DB of games and their versions, it doesn't expect Heroic to modify the games)
EGL sync is designed to solve this exact issue; please, just use it

I am using it.
What
this issue happens even if the sync is on.
Hmm, so you're positive that you've used EGL sync to get the game into Heroic (not the "Import" button)?
That's a different situation then. Could you send in the newest 3 files in Heroic's log folder starting with "legendary"? Those should give some info on what's going on here
Heroic's general log (the latest file starting with "heroic" in that same folder) might also be relevant
You can reach Heroic's log folder by going to "Settings" (sidebar) -> "Log" -> "Show Log File in Folder"

well it doesnt matter anymore, I will stop using Heroic for Fortnite
the launcher just deleted 43GB of it and now im forced to reinstall everything
