Just curious as to whether anyone here has any thoughts on the brand. Grandad coat is a classic, and apparently the balloon pants are great too.

I have a few pieces. Really like their work jacket. Well constructed and look great
I have a sweater from them thats v nice, and I picked up the geography teacher shirt which is great.
Really well constructed. I love their balloon trousers. In my experience trousers run a bit small & tops run true to size
I have the grandad coat and it’s arguably the nicest thing I own. Will probably pick up some pants and a sweater this fall

It’s the chestnut one I think lol it’s been a while, it was already too warm to wear it when I bought it (I think I got it in march?)
I think that’s the same one I got! I didn’t get my sleeves shortened till mid January so I didn’t get to wear mine as much as I wanted. But hopefully it’ll see more this year.
Love this brand, doesn't really go with what I wear because it's more 'standard' fitting but yea love what they do
DBF Grandad coat is one of , if not hands-down my favourite outerwear
you really dont often find the combo of double breasted + raglan sleeve + belt
construction is super nice too, inner seams all piped and beautiful buttons
belt also has an extra loop stitched on the back so it wont fall off ever
I picked up their wool overshirt last fall and its one of the nicest things I own. I was really impressed

Design looks to be slightly updated from my version in that it has an extra sleeve button to cinch down the sleeve rather than just being decorative

Yes, it’s comfortably oversized so you have some leeway but it’s perfect TTS

the green one is not as deep a green as it looks in the DBF lookbook just a fair warning

the green forest seems to have a better drape overall

Also stress tested it and it’s very effective in bad weather.

It’s unmistakably green but as ostentatious as the coat itself is a brighter more vibrant green would make it pretty loud. Not a bad thing necessarily but they nailed the balance for my tastes.

Grandad is tts and plenty big in my experience. You got a hell of a bargain!

They're made of cotton drill I would just wash them. Unless you don't like the soft finish from repeated washings

Feels like their grandad coat in navy is everything I want in an overcoat although I can sadly not find it in Europe and it is a bit out of reach

Anyone have success washing dbf Belgian linen items? Been reading some horror stories on styleforum about items shrinking and fading badly even with handwashing
It is kind of a gamble
Most people don’t have any issue with washing those , and few do
Apart from the obvious (washing machine differences , understanding of care instructions, …)
The main hypothesis was at some point that due to time/cost savings , the garments were not all pre-washed, resulting in the random reaction to the first washing
