On the hunt for the best thermal shirt

I’ve been thinking about thermal shirts to distract myself from the absolute hell-fire July weather lately. I’m imagining a thermal that’s thicker than a typical undershirt-thermal, cream, waffle-knit, not too long, and not excessively tight-fitting. I just ordered a filson thermal that seemingly fits the description. Curious if anyone else has experience with this?
