Oil Stain on Grey Wool Pants
Was wondering what MFA does when they get an oil stain on wool trousers. Any home methods besides a total cold soak/ dry cleaning for a spot clean for an oil stain on wool pants.

i've managed to get stains off of wool by first applying talcum powder or baking soda for a bit then spot clean with a very mild clothes detergent (i use one specifically for wool called Soak)
do you soak the garment after to remove the detergent?
i dilute a bit of the detergent in water and use that for the spot cleaning. This detergent in particular you don't need to rinse so I just let it dry... also, remove the talcum/baking soda as best as you can before the spot cleaning
Try a Castile soap like Dr. Bronners, they are really soft and work on oils/fats.
idk about wool specifically but rule of thumb that has never failed me is a good scrub with dish detergent/bit of water on the stain with a toothbrush
let it sit a bit, scrub a bit more
throw it in the washer
dish detergent is specifically formulated to get rid of grease
U wash wool in washing machine?
oh if it's wool i have no clue on how that works
i don't own any wool garments
