The Expanse from Epic won't load
Hi there. I'm using a Mac and therefore Heroic is my hero! I'm having a hard time getting my game to start though, and hoping you'll help.
When I try to launch the game, I get an error message that a needed component is missing: "The following components are required to run this program: Microsoft Visual C++"
I found here in the discord that some people use winetricks to fix this, but when I try to start winetricks it also fails . That error message flashes up too fast for me to copy it or even read it but I did see something about not having 64 something. 😦

Send the log file as an actual file, don't just copy the text inside
The link you shared isn't accessible; regardless, if it's just a screenshot of the error message, I doubt it'll help much

for winetricks to work i had to install Zenity

I installed macports, and then installed zenity, but it's still saying that zenity isn't installed. I'm rebooting my computer in the hopes that helps. 😦
Nope, didn't help. I've run the installer for Visual C++ multiple times, Zenity is definitely installed, and yet Heroic says that both are not. 😦 Am I just out of luck?

I have tried it with homebrew now, and funny enough, winetricks is still saying that Zenity is not installed, and the game is saying that C++ runtime is not installed. I did find that in Wine CFG it was set to emulate Windows 7, and updated that to 10. But still no dice. The game won't launch. 😦
