What should I wear to my own wedding?

I’m getting married on the beach in the Caribbean this winter and have no idea what I’m going to wear. I was originally leaning towards a classic pinstriped seersucker suit but I think I’ve soured on that idea. Some sort of light blue linen perhaps? I’m pretty pale skinned which complicates things given the setting, don’t want to look washed out in the photos. Trying to strike a balance between formal but not too formal for sand, ya know? I obviously want to be comfortable as well given the heat, the cocktail hour and reception will be semi indoors (and the sun will go down) but overall it’ll still be 4-6 hours in the heat. I have been going in circles on this the last few months, need to nail it down ASAP though as I need to figure out my groomsmen outfits as well.

I like the sound of a linen suit on the beach, but there's nothing saying you have to wear a suit - it is your wedding after all.

I’ve considered that as well. I’m not opposed to ditching the suit, but part of me doesn’t want to then be out dressed by my guests. I also tend to gravitate towards more formal looks in general.

Roll pant cuffs and go barefoot in the sand

Yes, will be walking on the sand a lot. Probably going to wear some sort of leather slide and go barefoot when needed

If it was me, I'd go for a linen suit in sand or cream, most likely. But if my wife found that inadequate, I'd consider a linen suit in navy instead. If I wanted to go full formal, I'd wear an ivory dinner jacket as part of a tux. That's pretty much my favorite three formality points.
