Thermistor reads incorrectly after installing new hot end - Solved
Good afternoon Gentlemen.
I have replaced my V6 hot end with a Rapido and it's associated pt-1000 thermistor.
I have set my new HotEnd in my config file.
The error I am having is that my thermister is reading 160 degrees despite the hot end not being plugged into anything.
The hot end is cool to the touch.
When the hot end was plugged in it heated up to "hotter than I want to touch" but the heat reading appears to be going down.
I am fairly confident this is a setting issue rather than a wiring issue (it would be hard for even me to screw this one up) but I can't seem to find the setting.
I don't think I have done any damage to the hotend or the thermistor as both are new out of package.
Thanks in advance.

upload your printer.cfg

you need to change your config to tell klipper you are using a PT1000
You need to specify the thermistor in your user overrides

Outstanding.
The issue has resolved.
Thank you both for your help.
