Should I shorten wedding trousers to no break? I'm 98% sure I would
I'm pretty good/knowledgeable when it comes to fit, look etc etc.
I got these hemmed a while back and went to a wedding, but havent been happy with them due to the half/full break in images.
I'm pretty sure I should get them shortened so there is no break and more skin is showing in loafers.
Before I do, just wanted to ask for opinions that's all!
Cheers š

the length shown in the pics looks good - are you wearing them cuffed as is? or is that the length you're proposing hemming to?
So they were stitched to have a 'turn up' effect/look (forgot what it's called).
I'm thinking something like this:
I'm not personally a fan of my suit pants that short. I'm also not built like the guy in that photo
I think it could go either way tbh, Iād be most swayed by how it looks with the jacket
I think they're good as is tbh.
it's called a cuff, and it looks fine as is
I personally would prefer no break here. Your not wearing socks with your loafers and i just like suit/wool pants to have little to no break lol that being said you're already at a half to a quarter break so this looks fine to me.
Ye I get that point.
I think as it's loafers I want it a little more shorter/see more of the loafer/skin.
Even trying the 'shorter look' with a standard derby/oxford style shoe looks perfectly fine I believe.
Ye i'm aware of cuffs lol.
The tailor stitched the inside so it stays like that.
I didnt cuff it.
It's called something more elegant/sleek lol
No, it's called a cuff lol
Tailored pants often have cuffs stitched in
same thing to an extent. Except he's stitched the inside
for suits/ smart trousers?
Turn-ups and cuffs are the same thing. You always stitch it so it stays that way, unless you're just cuffing your jeans temporarily.
