I kinda like both brands atm. Especially the Mexico 66s and GSM models
Always liked their more technical looks, and also the Kiko collabs
Love both brands, they're so comfortable. Does anyone have any experience with the deluxe Mexico 66?
1 pair have been my gym shoes for ages and I kinda like the way they look now.
My dad had some he wasn't wearing and I'm digging those as well. Very bold though
I'm thinking about picking up a pair of Mexico 66s now I just need to decide on a colourway
i have the green suede ones, they are so comfy
I have a regular Mexico 66 for the past 8 years and the sole is basically paper at this point. I want to get one again but I want the sole to be a little thicker which is I was curious about the deluxe version
Np!
I've owned these https://www.onitsukatiger.com/us/en-us/mexico-66-deluxe/p/ANA_1181A119-100.html?size=11&utm_source=google&utm_medium=pla&CAWELAID=120223060000997672&CAGPSPN=pla&CAAGID=&CATCI=&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI2YjL7vi0gQMVq83CBB1Mqwu1EAQYBSABEgL4vPD_BwE and they lasted me years - much longer than the standard version. The outsole was made of a much sturdier and firmer material that took forever to wear down. They did feel a bit narrower than normal at first, which might be due to a different quality of leather on the uppers as well.

recently picked up a pair of the 'cactful' model - made of cactus leather. Really comfy and lightweight and has a clean monochromatic look - highly recommend
very nice! how is the cactus leather? i have no experience. visited the onitsuka store the other day and was very impressed with nearly all their offerings outside of the popular mexico/serrano lines
made in japan ones are also extremely well done
i've only worn them a couple of times but so far they feel great
the mij ones are similar to the deluxe ones if im not mistaken
picked up these ASICS (I’m not so sure of the model) in Berlin for €50
i'm gonna be wearing them a lot as i've pretty much stopped wearing smarter footwear such as loafers and derbies in the last year
i saw so many folks in berlin wearing asics (and new balances to a lesser degree)
it's a trend i've noticed here in new york, also, that i really love...wearing chunky and comfortable running sneakers with all sorts of outfits that are smarter, or more chic even
i tend to be out and about so often, walking, biking, going dancing, that i wanna stay comfy, and for me that translates to rarely wearing non-sneaker footwear
and while i can't personally speak to onitsukas, i'm seeing them a lot in new york
totally different silhouette to ASICS considering their low profile style, but i think they're super cool
I had been looking around wondering if they made a non animal leather one! That’s great news! I’ll check it out
yeah they're pretty awesome, and i think the non-leather parts are recycled material as well!
Sadly it looks like my size is sold out but maybe I can find it on GOAT or something
Received a pair of Mexico 66 SD in blue/red and this is my first pair of onitsuka- are they supposed to be super narrow? I’m not sure if they fit well
And there seems to be quite a large heel in em
the sd version yes, apparently more narrow and a more durable outsole
Hmmm maybe I need to send em back then
i've had to size up on the SD
according to the google machine:
It’s long enough, but just super narrow on my feet
i did have a pair that i couldnt return so i ended up keeping
Feels like my heel is balancing on the shoe
they broke in and got comfortable eventually but it took a while
i do think the soles are a little narrower and possibly a little thicker than the standard version which is causing that balancing sensation
Yeah it just feels weird? And idk if that’s bad or just the feeling of the shoe
It just feels like my foot is kind spilling out over the edges of the sole
I’m used to wearing stan smiths and converse
yeah the stans and converse are definitely more stable feeling
have yall heard that tiger is shutting down their us stores?
if it’s just beverly hills and soho, i’m not surprised. not really the most accessible brand here physically, they are all over asia though
Hey gang. Can anyone speak to ASICS fit vis a vis NB
I’m a 9.5 in newbies and wondering if that transfers
