What sort of dress code is it? Sport coat and OCBD seems like a good match

It’s a trade organization’s big yearly meetup. This will be something I’d possibly wear to a seminar or mixer

Do you have a navy or gray sport coat / blazer?

Yes I think this is the only solid color ocbd I have that isn’t just white. I was also considering a chambray one

That shirt looks pretty good, chambray could also work here, I'm just trying to figure out how dressed up you're trying to be

I own my company, I don’t mind breaking the dress code a bit. It’s gonna be a bunch of middle aged guys wearing basic shit I don’t have to worry about a boss side eyeing me for dressing up or down from what other people are doing

Sport coat is maybe overkill for the situation but it does look good on you - the outfit you just posted looks pretty nice with or without the jacket imo I would prefer a bit less of a taper and crop on the pants but that's being a bit picky. Also I'd give the shirt an iron especially if wearing without the sport coat

It’s linen, it just kinda looks wrinkly. I’d probably change out the shirt if I wore it with the coat

Oh gotcha, didn't realize it was linen. I actually think it looks great under the sport coat

I think a light blue shirt could also work well

Thanks. I haven't had the time the last like 10 years to pay attention to my wardrobe, so I'm a bit out of my comfort zone while trying to rebuild. Appreciate the input greatly I was thinking blue could look good, too. Thanks
