Muji
Thoughts on Muji? I have some of their wide fit Chino’s and they feel very nice

I have a jumper and some socks by them that I think are nice affordable basics.
grabbed one of their hemp shirts this summer, i like it. big and boxy and comfy.
Can’t speak to their clothing but I really like their stationery, especially for the price. I have had the pens bleed on me though.
Stationery: I use a lot of their stuff for my work, I love their dotted a5 notebooks in particular. Pens are okay, I prefer from elsewhere
Clothes: I have some hemp pants from them, really nice for what I paid. I sized up once for a looser fit
Muji is great, better than Uniqlo for a lot of things imo
Especially the colours, more subtle
They tend to have better fabrics too. I have a great wool yak sweater that's honestly close to the one Evan kinori made (of course it's still miles apart, but the cut is really similar)
Muji is superior to uniqlo for basics imo, even before uniqlo’s decline in quality. Got a few thick (more medium tbh) tees which are fantastic. I cannot do some of their cuts though, particularly shirting
muji stuff are great, if only they have more stores
I like Muji's stuff. It's still fast fashion but quality is great for its price. I've gotten a cardigan, a linen shirt and a t-shirt with a placket. All look great and are still quite comfortable after years of wear
At least where I live stock is an issue and Uniqlo has the better online store
I've never bought their clothes, but I love their pens. I haven't purchased a non-muji pen in the last 4 years
I hadn't been to their store in years and visited recently. Was pretty surprised to see some of their tees were 20% polyester. The socks still rule though.
they have some good clothes but the quality isn't amazing, it's just japanese
most of the factories are in china but the branding is nice and minimal. so long as you're not paying regular price, their basics are good
luv their stationeries and houseware. clothes are neat too one of my fave l/s is from there
mfs buying clothes at the pen store
Pen Island
hueheuheuh
i like the hemp shirts they carry. otherwise a nice alternative to uniqlo for cheap basics. the fabrics are nice enough and i still have a raincoat i bought there 5 years ago that's held up very well. not a fan of the pens but maybe i haven't tried the right one
Did anybody try their utility jacket ? https://www.muji.eu/product/water-repellent-jacket-18103.muji
@604arun recently saw it in person and compared it to both the uniqlo version and the barbour version
I was interested in the Uniqlo one but it’s sold out. What was the result of your comparison ?
Full size run here in Canada. Muji one runs longer than the Uniqlo and is thinner + feels cheaper. More like a Bedale. The Uniqlo one is closer to a Spey.
It’s very helpful, thanks
just got my Muji reg fit chino’s
length is 30
i bought both 30 and 32 length pants, pants size Medium
i like em
this is their gray
i think they looks rly good rolled up
but i feel they might be a lil long unrolled? might be a look as well
I think they look great at that length, could even be a touch shorter
really enjoying these pants
their walked collection is so cool. the recent footwear theyve been putting out are too hip for a minimalist brand 😂
How’s quality been holding up on these ? I’m torn between muji and mfpen trousers. I know the mfpen quality will be nicer but the muji stuff looks nice at a much more palette able price point
ive been liking them, no issues so far tbh
i try to keep them washed in washer and then airdry
Thanks!
I have some socks and a navy/white stripe longsleeve tee from Muji. They’re pretty good quality and nice traditional basics
i have a turtleneck sweater that's fairly scratchy and fits ok. honestly i hate their 90 degree socks
I have a few nice no-show socks from Muji. They have a thicker heel grip which is really nice
does anybody know is muji sizes are the same for europe and the us?
I know in Canada their site has measurements so I'd check there
Japan vs US are one size different but usually US and EU would be the same. But yeah most items have measurements which is the way to go…
thanks!
