[Solved] Fall Guys no longer works after new update, missing files error.
Fall guys was working fine before the newest update. I had to do the method where you delete the prefix, run the EpicOnlineServicesInstaller.exe file, delete one of the exes in the prefix, run the game, restore it, and cancel the second epic games download. With some finnicking I managed to make it stick too, so I didn't need to hit cancel every time. After updating, though, it's almost completely broken. I can sometimes make it work with the above method, but even if it does it immediately breaks on next startup and i need to do the entire thing again. I haven't even gotten that far in the past few hours. Is there a workaround for this? It's impossible to play the game because of this issue, and nothing I've tried has worked at all.

I have tried other solutions that also asked to delete the prefix, after deleting it heroic does not start and I have to reinstall it

all those guides you see online work for most systems
it's just they are missing this one variable, because dotnet sdk sets random variables without user consent or notice
so yeah blame microsoft for this one

I feel like a lot of things boil down to that
games starting now let's see if it installs dependencies
if not I'll reinstall
not working so far

It works for me, I'm using wine ge latest version
only that since I was testing on a fall guys chromebook it crashes in game but in menus it works

you have to delete your prefix tho
it's not that hard to get it running fortunately
just have to install that eos installer thing
and then run the game
it will do everything else
