Average Cost of Ghost CMS Blog?
Hi so I've recently moved over to Railway.app, after hearing great things about it and getting bogged down with setting up infrastructure for my personal projects. As one of my first proof of concepts I've setup a GhostCMS blog on Railway, using MySQL, GhostCMS and AWS S3 as the storage source, as Railway does not have persistant data on their apps on restart.
Whilst this applications been running for around 5 hours now, I'm just wondering how accurate these pricing estimations are, because for me... they seem wayy too cheap?
Is railway severely underestimating the actual cost or is it due to my blog being relatively inactive currently? I had a scour around here previously and I was suggested $5 - 7 USD a month for Ghost, is there a reason why this estimation is drastically different with that number?
Thanks

Hey, someone else may be able to help with your pricing inquiry but I just want to let you know that railway does offer persistent storage in volumes, https://docs.railway.app/reference/volumes
Perhaps it needs some more time to give a more accurate estimate.
Oh neat, thanks for that @jonbeau , would that resolve the issue of railway apps being ephemeral and having the data lost on service restarts, if I store there instead?
Yes it would 👍
Awesome, would've saved me a few hours today, updating ghost and setting it up with s3 took me longer than I care to admit haha
First time setting up IAM roles so that was fun
haha I think it's 5gb they offer with a small fee for overages
That should be plenty for now I hope, I might try messing around with volumes more when I try moving my wip saas project over
