What is the typical etiquette for a trunk show?

Brycelands is having a trunk show in my city (Singapore) from tomorrow to Sunday, and I'm thinking of dropping by. They welcome walk-ins. Only thing is, what's the typical etiquette for attending a trunk show? Am I expected to make a purchase? What's the dress code? And how long do I stay?

I've never been to one so take this with a huge grain of salt. If you make an appointment, they'll usually allocate you an hour or so. And if you spend an hour there, you're generally expected to be getting measured and picking fabrics, not just dithering. If you're unsure, email them and tell them specifically that you're unsure, and see what they can accommodate. Without an appointment, just dropping in, you're probably not going to get nearly as much time (unless there's a dead spot) but on the flip side, they're not going to need you to make an order to make it worth their time. They sure would appreciate it but if it doesn't work out, it doesn't work out. Ask them whatever you want, whatever you each have time for. They'll probably make it politely clear when it's time for you to get going (ie, when someone with an appointment shows up.) I don't think there's really a dress code per se. I am sure some people show up in suits and others in t-shirts. That said, if you're hoping to make an order, you should ideally show up with, or dressed in, a relevant garment. Usually it's your best-fitting-X if you want them to make X for you, with your thoughts ready-to-go on how your best-fitting-X should be improved when they make a new X (either in terms of measurements not being quite bang-on, or because you want pretty much the same measurements but with their own house style applied to it.) If you're doing this, make sure you bring the rest of the kit - ie, if you want a suit, make sure you bring a shirt and shoes too. If you lack the kit, they'll do what they can, but for your fitting make sure you have it.

Thanks for the detailed response! The trunk show will be showing some RTW stuff from Brycelands' summercore collection (though they also mention MTO is available). I'll send the hosting store a whatsapp message that I'll walk in to browse and know more about Brycelands. Might purchase 1 of their RTW summercore stuff but I won't pressure myself to leave with a purchase if it doesn't work out.
