Payment method removal
Hey, how do I remove my payment method? I opted in for a credit subscriptions but still see my credit card saved in the billing tab...

unless you plan on cancelling your account there's no good reason to remove the card, you said you are on the credit based plan, that means your card will never be charged unless it's from you loading credits yourself, if you don't have enough credits then your services will stop after the 3 day grace period

You can remove your payment method from the payments tab, but be warned that Railway has a 5$ a month subscription that is charged to your card. That cost may not be taken out of your credits
I dont see no payments tab though
And within the billing tab there's no remove method only replace
actually you can't remove the card, you need a card on account for verification

I just don't like my card being saved on any platform... There really should be an option to remove it as with any respectable platform.

like I said, you will not be charged unless you initialize a credit load yourself
I'm not worried about Railway charging me. More concerned over a possible data breach at some point that will get my CC shared all over the darknet. These things happen, often.
That's why every single purchase consuming entity has the option for users to opt out of saving their CC information.

Your card has been used, it would be exposed in a data breach no matter what you do
Railway doesn’t store it, Stripe does. Railway just stores the hash that tells them your card exists and is valid
stripe is behind an enormous amount of online purchases globally
if you’d like your card removed, email billing@railway.app. Be warned that this will disable your Railway account as you will not longer be verified
