NYC places for starter watches and suits

Hello friends! Hope y'all are doing well today. I will be in New York City for a few days soon, and I wanted to spend time in brick-and-mortar stores that sell watches and suits. I want to start cycling in analog sport or diver watches and formal clothing in my wardrobe, and before buying items online I want to see in stores some examples so I know what to expect. Since I'll be in New York City I thought it would be a good place to see high-quality examples of these items. My budget is about $500 in total, and I'm not necessarily expecting to buy anything. I'm looking to window shop and ask questions, and if there's a great opportunity that fits my needs I can buy.

$500 is tough for a brick-and-mortar retailer selling suits worth buying. Suitsupply perennials start at $500.

You could swing by gentlemen's resale. It's small but they specialise in secondhand suits

Armory is nice but 500$ won't get you far there.

Just go to SoHo. Seriously. It's like a giant shopping mall with hot dog carts They have everything there, Suit and Watch options galore I think the Suit Supply there is like 4 stories Proper Cloth is there too, you can get fitted in person to buy stuff later. Watches of Switzerland etc. Tough on a 500 budget though

great! yeah it's a good lowkey spot. not a lot of short small sizes so I never have luck but I always see a ton of good basic suits for (imo) a pretty decent price.
