Stores and Places to Visit in NYC?

I’ll be moving to NJ right next to the Hudson River for school. Anyone have any recommendations of what stores/brands that I should check out there? From flagship, popular, stores to smaller, local boutiques, I’m willing to drop by anywhere cool. Just probably not any food places since that’s a whole different subject lol

I really enjoyed visiting If Boutique just to be able to look at and touch super niche artisanal clothing in person. Had a fun time ducking into Colbo, Nepenthes, Raggedy Threads, and the Noah NY store as well. I’d avoid Dover Street Market - bad energy and vibes all around

I love walking from the west village to the east & then through soho & 'nolita', stopping by all the thrift and vintage stores on the way - it's a good day out and you can see a ton of small boutiques and big flagships too. The upper east side has the ralph lauren men's flagship which is a really fun store to walk around in. Tokio 7 is a good rec especially because there are a ton of vintage/thrift stores near it too (although they can be kinda picked over)
