W1-AT and Mac usage - (Num lock and light behind key)
Hi all, I have a W1-AT and want to predominantly use this on my mac (for work) and switch to my PC for play.
For my mac, I found this explanation to get the num-lock key to work: https://discord.com/channels/743801649377574924/743807669197864970/1012432969694195783
However I wanted to ask:
1. Is there anyway through the above method I can get the Home/Pg up/ End/ Del etc. keys to work when numlock is on?
2. Is there anyway I can get the L.E.D for numlock to work on mac?
Thanks

The LED would not light up because there is no numlock key in macOS. My solution to this is to unbind the numlock indicator from numlock key and rebind it to layer instead through qmk.
See if this works for you https://discord.com/channels/743801649377574924/1020908052112752742/1020908052112752742
Thanks! Looks like I need to learn how to use QMK. Quick question, does this work in conjunction with the solution here: https://discord.com/channels/743801649377574924/743807669197864970/1012432969694195783
I've tried the Karabiner-Elements solution, you get the numlock functionality but it does not let you control the LED.
You can take a look at the github page, if it meets your requirement you could just take the bin file and flash it with qmk toolbox
To confirm, does your solution also allow the numlock key work like with the karabiner solution?
all you wanted is to have numlock LED light up when numlock is on right?
and also to use the home/end/pg up/pg dn keys
Yep; on both mac and windows π
what I have done is to rebind numlock LED to layer 2, and mapped home/end/pg up/pg dn/arrow keys on layer 2
On layer 0, numlock indicator will turn on and it functions as numpad.
This works on both windows and mac, and you can remap the keys on VIA if needed
Thanks for explaining π - Really appreciate it; will get the board flashed and use this method
@tokage_the_dino - I'm really sorry to keep pestering, but I've tried some ways of flashing my keyboard and I'm stuck at this step (attached). Do you know what I'm missing here?
Got it working! Thank you so much
Glad it's working for you
