Something really important is to always have a vision of what you want. That will help only record what’s needed and know how to edit your vid. Scripts help a lot with that

My advice would be to create yourself some editing templates to work with, if your editing suite has them. Can speed up workflow quite a bit, especially if your content follows the same type of editing techniques across each video. Allows you to basically drag and drop your raw files into your timeline and quickly add commons things you use like intros, outros, transitions, cuts, EQing etc..

I'm not sure if this helps but, when I was starting out editing, I quite literally reached out to a YouTuber first before coming up with any style. (I wouldn't recommend it bc it puts a lot of pressure on u but I think it can tell u a lil bit about the learning process) at this point I had no idea how to edit, but I pretended I did, got the job; and learned how to edit along the way. I learned a lot from simply taking a look at other YouTubers, and well copying what they're doing. When I didn't know how to do things I'd quite literarily do stuff like search for, "how to make bounce in text." Remember that the internet is OP, all the questions u had, previoust people have already answered! Look for em! >:D

Also do a test run especially when running OBS etc. I can’t tell you how many times I was done recording and the screen didn’t record or my audio was messed up. Do a short test run for like 20 seconds and watch it back.
