Slay the Spire won't launch

Hello 🙂 I installed Slay the Spire (Linux version) from GoG through Heroic and it won't launch. It goes from Play to Playing (STOP) to Play. I've tried setting the executable to the start.sh script in the root of the Slay the Spire directory and the SlayTheSpire executable in the game directory. I can get it to launch outside of Heroic by running the SlayTheSpire executable. Other games like Noita launch correctly.

This looks like it isn't the linux version and it also looks like you're using Proton, use wine instead

I'll reinstall to make sure Linux is selected. One moment. Same outcome. 🙂 By the way, what makes you say that? The logs? I don't think selecting the Windows version would include a start.sh script and an ELF executable for the game itself

Ah, I got tunnel vision on the Java error and didn't see that. I'm going to poke around and look. However, do you know of a setting to stop Heroic from trying to use Wine/Proton for games?

In the settings, game defaults, set the default wine version away from Proton Other than that, it's a game by game thing

Ah, Slay the Spire doesn't have anything for Wine Version in the settings.

It's just the Advanced settings. Rest of the page environment variables, wrapper, language, and help settings

Weird question, but is your steam deck almost full? Also, are you launching from Steam or are you launching from Heroic?

Currently trying some tweaking with start.sh per some other threads I found. I'll take a look at what you sent as well! Thanks 🙂
