Newbie question about linux support

Does Heroic automatically install the game using wine/proton baked in if the game isn't supported natively? If so, what configuration options does it support.

Feel free to link me to any documentation which already answers what I ask

yes, if the game is only for Windows, you can choose which wine or proton version to use You can also control multiple aspects of that, enable gamemode, Nvidia prime offload etc...

That's awesome! I actually do require nivdia-offload sometimes Thanks I was using legendary till now but thought to switch to a more pleasant experience One more thing: What are the paths used to store config and state for the launcher? I need to persist these.

Heroic uses $XDG_CONFIG_HOME/heroic and if XDG variable is not defined it falls back to ~/.config/heroic

What about legendary? Since heroic relies on legendary for its back-end, can I use its login state for heroic? I guess I'll find out soon

heroic should be able to copy the session from legendary latest version of heroic sandbox the legendary config, to avoid unexpected behavior

I see I will still nuke the old legendary state though It still thinks RL is installed, which it's not
