Parka recommendation

I recently realized my parka is out of sync with my wardrobe and been a while (pre-covid) since I’ve purchased one. I live in NYC, but do travel to cold weather, have a car but have to walk a ton. I prefer something that can hold down to 10 degrees but want to balance style/utility. Budget 800, want to avoid CanadaGoose or mainstream companies showing logos. I’m aware of woolrich but need more input and looking to invest in this once in 5 year type of purchase. #parka #general-chat #questions-and-advice

I'll point out that by the time it gets cold enough you need a parka instead of a overcoat/duffel coat/puffer you may wanna just prioritize function over form. 25 and up unless I'm standing outside for a while I'm fine with layers and a wool overcoat so I don't particularly care if my parka is especially fashionable, since it's certainly too warm to wear inside. This is partially because I don't think parkas are a coat that looks particularly good.

What do you mean "out of sync" with your wardrobe? How do you usually dress? If you like workwear then spaghetti's suggestions above are great (I'd add Nigel Cabourn secondhand if you can find it). However, if your style is something different, you should specify so we can give better recommendations
