MCU Shutdown Error occasionally when heightmap probing

Only happens when doing the heightmap when starting a print, and only sometimes. I've tried a backup pi4 I have, tried a different sd card, have a separate PSU connected to it for 5v. Still have the same problem. Using it with a spider v2.3 controller board. Added the log I have for the last time it happened. I don't restart the rpi I just do the firmware restart on the controller board and then it goes fine. I've done 10+ hour prints without getting this error, just when it does the heightmapping and only sometimes.
Transition to shutdown state: MCU 'mcu' shutdown: Timer too close
This often indicates the host computer is overloaded. Check
for other processes consuming excessive CPU time, high swap
usage, disk errors, overheating, unstable voltage, or
similar system problems on the host computer.

yah i feel like more info is needed but idk what would be needed, the problem is that it can't get the system time or something right? Part of that reasoning is that the CPU or sd card might be overloaded which would prevent that.

Hmm what SD cards are y'all using? Maybe they are too slow? Also how much ram on your pi's?

I tried two samsung sd cards, one is a bit older but the one I got recently. The old ones are U1 and the new one is U2. The Pi has 2GB of RAM. i've been monitoring the RAM and CPU user, the RAM doesn't ever really reach the 2GB and the CPU is also usually low usually at like 10% or so

I think your SD cards are creating a bottleneck. This is just a theory but it's been known to happen if the transfer speeds are not fast enough on them.

it only happens sometimes and usually at the same point. What sd card should I get then? From what I've used samsung's tend to be the better performing brand

Honestly not sure, have not had to reflash since getting up and running. My hunch is that you will need to reflash the pi with RatOS but if you make a copy of all your config files you can then readd them to the fresh install so you don't need to remake the config files. @miklschmidt I don't want to give bad advice here, does this sound correct?

Maybe an other theory. It happens always when z is moving fast. So maybe the the sd port from the pi dont line the Vibration and connection is lost for a minisecond. So maybe replace the spacer to some rubber spacer.?

If your printer hardware is the same and the RatOS version is the same, you can copy paste your printer.cfg. Pretty much

These are the ones i recommend as well, and yes i'm pretty sure that would solve the problem here.

The one I have is the Samsung Evo which is U3/V30 so 30mb/s minimum write which would be x3 faster than the card you recommended. It did the same thing with both cards so I don't think both of them would have the same problem

What's the total size of the card? Is it also 32 gb? Not sure what else could be causing the issue if not the SD card or input voltage. Do you have a lot of extra peripherals hooked up to the pi? Like a webcam, etc?

It's 128gb, doesn't seem like samsung makes anything smaller anymore. I added a webcam but the issue was happening before, and adding it didn't seem to change how often it happened or anything when it happened.

I'm not sure why but I don't think any card above 32 GB is recommended. Lemme see if I can find where I saw that https://discord.com/channels/582187371529764864/1118265360701984921 Couldn't find anything about the size of the card being an issue so I might be thinking of something else. This person had a similar issue in the past so there might be something in there on how to diagnose the issue better. Not really sure what else could be causing the issue.
