My understanding is that Gitman Vintage is supposed to be for casual and fun shirts, while Gitman Bros. is more formal.
In reality, I've found casual shirts through both lines. And they're all great.
The one thing I'll say is that, for ~$200 shirts, the sizing is really inconsistent. I normally wear a size medium. Some shirts fit wonderfully, others are tight around the collar/chest area and require me to unbotton a second button.
I also think they're all just too long. I know they're meant to be tucked in, but still -- it's too much. I have a short-sleeved linen plaid shirt that I got hemmed at a tailor -- just didn't make sense to wear tucked in.
Nonetheless, I think they're close to unbeatable in terms of variety and coolness of the fabrics. I remain a fan.
As a tall person, (~190-195 cm) I quite appreciate the length! So many shirts end an inch before my waist line even begins, but I don't have that problem with Gitman.
Do you really find them that long? I have two ocbds from Gitman Bros in size M, and both of them are rather slim-fit and can be easily worn untucked.
I keep seeing Gitman stuff in person (Independence Chicago) and online, and don't understand the huge $$$ price gap between their flannels and Lands End / Lands End vintage flannels
No trying to hate but appreciate yalls feedback on where you see the quality/value with them is. Or if not in the flannels, what of their lineup you usually go for?
Gitman are MiUSA, which impacts price. I believe Lands End are imported.

Anyone do one of these before? Might consider going to this in Chicago this weekend
Does anyone know anything about these "Cambridge TTX" Gitman shirts ?
Also, my whimiscal side really likes the duck embroidery on this shirt but my practical side is worried it'll get stale quickly and I'll start hating it.😆 Any thoughts on stuff like that?

It looks like it's a specialized fabric they use for some shirts?

Oh, I see. I saw that site in my search results but I assumed it was a secondhand retailer who is simply listing what the tag says.
That's good to know, I was concerned it was some dispersion label or licensing deal.
I'm leaning towards passing the duck because it might kinda look more "work uniform" than "whimiscal".
Fwiw usually licenses with Gitman will work the other way around — they'll produce good shirts for store brands. (Not sure if that was the case here.)
