For Your Consideration- Station Eleven for Excellence in Sci-Fi/Fantasy Television.
The most creative and rewarding show that I’ve ever had the pleasure of designing!

From the inspiration to the final costume, the creative process takes the efforts of countless artisans in order to make it into reality.

Rian Johnson was a director I discovered at just the right point in my teenage years and ever since then, I’ve always loved how the characters dressed in his films.
Man I could talk about this topic for days. Aside from the incredible movies people have already mentioned...
1. Crimson Peak
2. The Great Gatsby (1974)
3. Singin' in the Rain
4. The Bitter Tears of Petra von Kant
5. Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011)
I also wanted to mention Marian Churchland, a Canadian cartoonist with an unabashed love of wanting things, including clothing. The way she draws clothes and her persona (a goblin) wearing said clothes has always been a treat. She also has very interesting takes on her experiences with gender identity through her clothing choices and her constant ebb/flow with what is considered masc/fem fashions. All in all, she’s definitely worth a look.
Two favorites are Umbrellas of Cherbourg, especially its use of color, and When Harry Met Sally, especially the textures. Mad Men was also really influential in my glasses choices ten years ago.
There’s been some awesome ones mentioned so far. Posted a few in #inspiration before, but here’s some others that come to mind quick: Belly, Almost Famous, Pretty Woman, The Fifth Element, Clueless, Flame & Citron, and Cold War
one piece drip is awesome
