I love Spier because they fit me quite well OTR and have a decent selection of fabrics and tend to go with fairly classic styling and patterns. They struggle when they stray from established patterns and ideas tho…

I've gotten rid of most of my blazers for various reasons and only have this unstructured cotton one from cdg left, but it's perfect and goes with everything. Comme is great for that since they span the whole spectrum from casual tailoring to unwearably avantgarde.

Still yearning for the perfect slouchy wool blazer from Ann Demeulemeester but they are reaching ridiculous pricing. Super gorgeous though, here's an example

I definitely have too many sport coats for how often i actually wear them. Maybe that will change this fall/winter we’ll just have to see. My favorites are my cooky crazy ones. The 70s ysl tweed with giant lapels and my tommy nutter purple db that its a challenge to wear but i will never have the heart to get rid of.

This is my favourite (winter) blazer. It’s a bit hard to wear, but I love it. It’s my favourite pattern that Haider has ever done; I find it really inspiring. The fabric (cotton/silk blend) is extremely delicate, and is unfortunately prone to pilling. I can only imagine how durable the coat version of this piece is!

Spier has great looking sport coats for a low budget. Unfortunately their cuts are basically slim (contemporary) and slimmer (slim), so it won't work for everyone. Also most customers will have to know sizing which can be tricky with tailored jackets. For lower budgets than Spier, secondhand is the way to go. These two brown sport coats (Southwick and PRL) were ~$50 on ebay and grailed respectively

If I had a high budget to buy sport coats I'd be looking at NMWA's selection as well as Canali, Corneliani, Brioni, Drake's, RLPL, Ring Jacket, Kiton, Sid Mashburn, and Oxxford Kent Wang has a great selection of fabrics if you're interested in MTM af a reasonable price (still not low budget). Would recommend going in person if you're in New York

Man all of the south wick jackets I’ve seen on eBay look so bad in the pics but that one looks awesome

Thanks, they're solid jackets, from what I've heard they were well liked when they were still making em

This CDG HP piece is probably my favourite in the collection. Most of my blazers end up playing a supporting role to the pants, shoes or shirt and are pretty tame (boring) compared to this one. If it was black I’d wear it so much more often but I have a soft spot for grey.

I have a long list of blazers that I want in my collection but if I could find this S/S98 Yohji switched sleeves blazer at a decent price I’d pull the trigger immediately.

Quite fond of this camelhair Brooks Bros jacket although I need to get the sleeves shortened a bit

There was period of time where southwick/BB made jackets with open quarters and those are 🐐. Unfortunately there’s a lot more bad than good out there.

Ah that explains why most of what I've found on eBay are kinda garbage
