The mass produced Irish staple of knitwear

Lower quality wool, loose knit, low gauge, but for the price they're extremely hard to beat. 100% wool with good colors and quick shipping, I've owned their fisherman in brown for 7 years and it's in great shape, and I really don't care to beat it up cause it's $100. Just got their shawl collar cardigan and the fit is fantastic. Also, their shop in Galway is cool as hell just for the building if you ever get the chance to pop in.

Aran sweaters are more a descriptor than a specific brand
lordofthethighs.
It's actually the brand's name, and from what I understand they are closely tied to the Aran island of Inis Mór But yeah, most of their sweaters aren't "arans", but they do have competitively priced arans that are Irish made

They're very poor quality compared to like knitwear that you can buy for an extra couple dollars like Peregrine.

I like the fit and think that some of their stuff is nice. I have a cardigan from then that's worth the $120 I paid

While we’re on the topic I see a lot of secondhand Irish knitwear from Aran Crafts. Anyone know how their quality compares to these other brands?

my aran is none of the brands mentioned! I do have a friend who has to ASM knits though and he is very happy with them shout out to Inverallan though my aran fucks hard although obviously the cost gap between inverallan and ASM is pretty wide, given that its very much a top-end brand vs a low-end

I almost want to say aran crafts is a tag swap of the same stuff
