Levis Shrink to Fit

Been wanting a pair of raw denim I don’t want to invest until I’ve lost some weight and can wear them for a long time. That being said, for instant gratification, I’m pondering a pair of Levi’s shrink to fit. Anybody have advice on how much larger to go and the best strategies to fitting them right?

I have 2 pairs I have done pretty successfully. In my experience dont expect the waist to shrink much at all. Maybe .5 inch but it will stretch back out with wear if its too snug. The main shrinking point will be the slimming of the legs and loss of inseam. Both times I ordered 36x34 and they shrunk to about 30-31 inseam which is my ideal for a lil bit of room above shoes You could also potentially buy a pair that will fit you off the rack and wear them as "raws" with some big cuffs and then do a hot wash later down the line for maximum fades in one go But when you wash you WILL lose a few inches of inseam so just make sure you prepare for that

Oh really good to know. So go more true to size on the waist, but add for length I’m not a huge fan of cuffing, and ideally like my jeans to sit just above my shoes so this is great to know

Yeah the waist will tighten up a bit like washing all jeans. But I would not expect to lose any sizes on the waist at least in my experience

Going up 1 size in waist and 2 in inseam from my usual Levi's size worked for me, but maybe 3 inches would be better so you have more break
