Is it possible to resize the pixels of a default png to the dimensions you want?
I know CSS resize images on an html page but the png that is stored on your computer is unchanged right? Is it possible to resize that png to the dimensions I want? For example I want my png to a size of 320 x 320 by default.

you can use any image editing software to change the size of a PNG
paint, gimp, krita, photoshop, probably even the image viewer in windows
there's online tools too, just google "resize png" or "resize image"
I tried on figma but when I put the width to 320, it gives my an automatic height. I can't change it all independently
what exactly are you trying to achieve?
Maybe these one will be different?
Right now I have a png that says it has the dimension: 292x53. I want the dimension to be 320x320. I want to use that png for the Discord sticker feature. I think only images that are 320x320 can be used?
that will look like ass
unless you fill it with transparency
Oh really?
and even then, it will look bad
try using photopea or gimp or paint.net or photoshop or any competent image editor
first, you will have to scale to 320px tall, then you have to resize the canvas to 320px
this way, you have a slightly blurry 320x320 png file
Ok, I will try.
good luck
So I resized the canvas to 320x320 but my image that I import looks so much smaller even though it has a height of 292. Is it the software portraying it like that? I don't understand how dimensions are protrayed.
I am using photopea btw
first, resize the image to 320px height, and keep the proportions
then you resize the canvas to 320x320
and dont keep the proportions
that's the best you can do with what you have
Ok I will try that now.
good luck
When you say keep the proportions do I click relative then change the height?
no, what i mean is really that
when resizing the image, keep the proportions
so the width changes when you change the height
when you change the size of the canvas, do not keep the proportions, so you can change it any way you want
Sorry I clicked on the wrong thing.
I see it now
Aspect ratio correct?
can you show?
there's a few names for it
that's not how you do it
open the image directly
Ok I did that now
now, that's a 292x53 image
so, you need to scale it to an absolute size with a width of 320px
I do that while keeping the ratio correct? I have 320x58
yes, correct
now, you want it to be 320x320, right?
Yeah
now, resize the canvas to 320px of height, but dont keep the aspect ratio
Ok it's done
now export as a png, with a different name
that's the best you can get
So they will merge together?
The canvas and png are in two different tabs. I opened the image by itself
what? how?
Once I start a new project I click on "Open" the click on my png file right?
To get my image on Photopea. That's what I did
Before I clicked on Open and place to get the image on the white background
no, you just drag the image and drop it on the tab
then you resize the image and then the canvas
that's it
If the canvas is the black space I don't know how to resize it
Sorry for the stupid question but I'm confused
this is the option to resize the canvas
I click on new project to get the white space
it should be in english, but photopea tries to be smart and picks pt-br
as i said, drop the image when there is nothing on photopea
the final result could look like that
i resized this image from 1024x1024 to 1920x1080
It's just showing me a black screen. I don't get the canvas you have. I drag and drop here
On the black box
drop where it says "drop any file here"
I only get this
now, image > image size
No canvas
it might be better to just check online for a video tutorial on how to resize an image with photopea
its literally 2 options in 1 menu, and both are together
I did that
how do I resize canvas. I see nothing
I can only click on the one background tab
all you have to click is the "image" menu
nothing else
Oh ok, I see it now
now, change the image size to 320px width
keep the aspect ratio
then, resize the canvas, but dont keep the aspect ratio
Did that
can you show?
that's it
Sorry I didn't how to access the canvas before
its fine
if you want a background, you can simply go to layer > new fill layer with color (or something like that)
on the right side, then move the background layer to the top
Thanks this helped a lot and the quality is still good
you're welcome
