would you wear faux leather if you already owned it

I have this faux leather trench coat that was my Dad's, he never wore it so its not cracking or peeling, yet. Would you feel bad if you wore faux leather? Usually I wouldnt buy it, but since I already have it, I'm debating if I should wear it in public. If it was real leather I'd definitely wear it haha

No, rock on. If you like the style and look of the item, absolutely wear it and just feel extra blessed that no cows were harmed in its making ☺️

I think it comes down to whether or not the coat looks good or not despite being faux-leather. Sometimes you get a pleather jacket that only makes sense as a pleather jacket. I remember a bunch in the 90s having a specific kind of sleaze to them that only pleather could achieve!

Just call it vegan leather instead of faux leather, and then it's a selling point

If you like how it looks, absolutely. You already own it. IMO there is nothing at all wrong with fake leather, as long as 1) it does the job you want it to do, and 2) you know what you're buying, ie, it's not pretending to be leather or it's priced so low that it's near irrelevant.
