How good is the performance on games on the steam deck running bazzite?

- Does bazzite make the performance better, worse, or has no effect? - What are some games that will have performance issues on the steam deck with bazzite on it (or in general)? - Are there some games that will only work with an external keyboard and can't work with the steam deck controller layout? - How well does Minecraft Java work on the steam deck (using prism launcher)?

1: Should be the equal or better than SteamOS 3.5 2: Don't know of any on bazzite, in general avoid modern AAAs unless you're ok with 30 FPS 3: Haven't found any 4: I play with shaders at 60FPS. specifically Sildur's High w/ Motion Blur. Use Fabulously Optimized mod pack

I second that modded Minecraft with shaders has been a treat. Controller mods are pretty good for it too. I've actually got my modpack setup to join bedrock edition (my brother plays from mobile)

With regards to #2, keep in mind that the Deck is more or less a cheap laptop with integrated graphics in a handheld form factor. Last gen games run great, current gen games run on low settings at 30fps. Low settings and 720p are not as noticeable as you would expect due to the small screen. If you play docked, you will be relying on GameScope and FSR upscaling for sure.

yeah I was thinking that the performance won't be too bad since it doesn't need to scale as much since the steam deck has a smaller screen than most laptops
