Do these cap toe oxfords look right?
Just bought these from meermin and the laces look a little odd? Plus I had to use a shoehorn to get them on so I was just curious

Not enough space for your instep. The lacing area should be a much narrower V on oxfords.
So size up you think?
Probably need to go up in width and not length
You may have better luck with grant stone or AE as they both offer wides.
Ah makes sense, they do feel fine in the toe - thanks for the advice
Fwiw, the widest part of your foot should line up with the widest part of the shoe. Have you been measured on a brannock device? That’ll help you get a baseline size to start from

Those look like 3 widths too narrow
Yeah, more like 3 than 1
Also, the positioning of the cap looks a little bit odd but that's just preference
meermin moment - wish they had wider lasts
I’ll have to use a brannock device, thanks guys. Allen Edmonds or Grant Stone is the question now
I much prefer GS, but if you’re looking for slightly sleeker stuff, go AE
(But only on sale. Don’t spring for MSRP)
((Also don’t buy AE’s sneaker-dress-shoe-hybrids))
or tlb mallorca
Grant Stone or AE used
TiL from this question, thanks!
