Looking to get a turtleneck but I'm torn on whether to get between one of these
I'm planning on getting a turtleneck sweater and hoping for something that works well with my olive trousers.
That said I am very much open to other suggestions of either colors and or brands of turtle necks

these are what the trousers look like
I think both would work well
if you had to pick a personal choice which one would you go for?
im curious
Hm
I’d probably be more partial to the grey because I don’t feel like cream looks nice on my skin tone
Possibly a little more versatile idk, I love grey knits
oh skintone? may I ask what skin tone do you have?
i didnt really consider that variable to the whole thing
it’s just a personal feeling idk if there is any truth to it
i can't tell if that's the same olive color as my olive fatigues, but for those i have a black turtleneck that i pair with a marled grey shawl cardigan
it’s not rlly something that really matters tbh
But I think I prefer the grey
feel like a turtleneck you wear under a cardigan, jacket or coat so that's something to keep in mind
yeah i forgot to mention im planning to pair it with a suit blazer
but im also looking to wear it as its own thing coming november/december
the cream color one i see is from banana republic (that's where i got my black one). it's not at a good price currently fyi, i got mine a few weeks ago for $60 during a sale
what color and pattern do you think the blazer will be?
this is what my blazer looks like i kinda wanna mix and match
also i got the idea from this
but i cant seem to find a red/burgandy turtleneck
also awww rlly? that sucks
there's a lot of other options for turtleneck brands tho
is there?
I tried googling but amazon stuff just came out
and like idk its amazon

ooh those look lovely
sadly its more of a darker color options tho i kinda wanna have something pop as a contrast to the dark blue
also what's your price range?
like below the 100$ range and like maybe 120
also im kinda looking for it to arrive before friday
like it would be amazing but if it cant then its fine
what area do you live in?
US - Hawaii
oh that may be tough
yep but i got a plan B which is just wearing a breton long sleev shirt
but like yeah its whatever i can still use it for december season
which freezes the hell out of my neck
well i would personally avoid stripes with a busier sportjacket like that I think
where'd you get the sportjacket?
its not a individual thing its a part of a suit
but i dont think im gonna be dressing that fancy with the whole suit and tie for a school dance
anyways like u think it still works between the two options just wondering
the suit could look nice but yeah i woudn't pair it with a striped knit/shirt. others here would have a better idea of what to style it with
i don't know if it goes with olive pants either tbh
yeah im prolly gonna scratch that
there's a lot of turtlenecks on ebay btw. I'd look into how long they'd take to ship/whether there are any sellers in Hawaii
Oh yeah ebay i forgot about secondhand/used ones
what clothing stores do you know of in your area?
as well as thrift stores?
yeah im probably gonna take a look in that
thriftstores near me are kinda dry
as for stores basically like idk the more popular ones?
I mean im looking at it rn and theres is a lot
are you near honolulu?
i know nothing about hawaii but i can take a look at store options on google maps
also yeah pretty much
sorry if I went a little overboard
but thats all the popular ones in the mall
I mihgt check out abocrombie and fitch
a&f clothes have changed dramatically for the better recently from what i've heard
ah ok
well in any case thanks anyways im prolly gonna stick to the original choices
i think you'll get some more good advice in this thread honestly! i'm just not the right person to be able to totally help you
oh no no u def helped me a ton when it comes to the option ideas u gave me
thank you very much
Definitely check out Uniqlo as well! They do really solid baics.
hey sorry for the ping but for ure turtle neck is it thin or thick? just wondering cause I dont want it to have a seethrough look to it
They're usually on the thinner side for a sweater because you layer over them though there are various options thickness wise. No turtleneck should be see through I think (if it is don't buy it)
Uh u said I bought it right has it not arrived yet?
i'm a huge abercrombie shill but in years past they often have chunky turtlenecks in the style of the grey one. with that in mind i'm too lazy to read this conversation in detail so this is my take.
nice trousers; where are they from?
universal surplus british military trousers
