Anyone know anything about Charvet ties?

I bought a Charvet tie on eBay a while ago. It’s clearly a more formal, ‘evening’ tie, but I’m concerned about how thin/delicate it is. According to StyleForum posts of yore, Charvet has a history of making delicate ties, but this one feels almost like it’s made from tinsel. Any thoughts?

Charvet makes great ties. I have not personally heard that their ties are particularly fragile but if it feels fragile then I certainly believe you. Hopefully it just means it needs more hanging time to relax after wearing, rather than actually permanently creasing (which would be crazy for a tie, or at least a tie not worn many times) let alone ripping or tearing or deforming

What's the best way to store ties? I currently fold, roll and store them in one of those sock organiser trays.

Pretty much roll, fold gently into a sort of roll shape, or hang I don't think anyone has conclusively proven one or the other is best for longevity and for the tie relaxing back into its default shape, but maybe? Hanging has the benefit of using its weight to un-wrinkle, but the potential downside of it developing creases where it hangs. People tend to recommend not leaving a tie hanging in one spot for years; take em off and adjust them every couple months or whatever
